Founded in 2005, Jaybird is a company that specializes in headphones for sports. For a relatively new company on the personal audio scene, they’re already making waves in the industry thanks to their quality products and sleek design. They’ve also recently partnered with the USA Triathlon team. This means they are able to work first hand with athletes to get first hand input on the gear they produce.
Jaybird offers a line of regular earbuds, the Tiger Eyes and Endorphin Rush, as well as the Sportsband wireless headphones. But we here are all about the wireless comfort of Bluetooth earbuds, and Jaybird delivers on this front as well.
Specifically made for active individuals, the JF3 Freedom Bluetooth Buds are Jaybird’s most recent foray into the Bluetooth earbud scene. The first thing that’s immediately apparent about these earbuds is their compact size. Most of the earbuds that we’ve seen, though compact, are still relatively bulky. Most require some form of over-the-ear loop to keep them in place or a bulky battery pack. Jaybird has found a way to engineer these buds to fit in the smallest form factor we’ve sever seen in a wireless pair.
